Players in the tourism industry got together to offer some of the best travel deals to vacation seekers, the final opportunity to grab attractive travel deals before the Malaysian Goods and Services Tax (GST) is implemented this April 1st.

MATTA Fair Perak is just one of the travel fairs organised by the Malaysian Association of Tour & Travel Agents (MATTA) simultaneously in selected cities across the country. While I had no plans to search for attractive vacation packages, I was glad to have visited this edition of MATTA Fair Perak as I was able to buy cheap travel insurance from City Life underwritten by QBE Insurance, for my upcoming trip to China at only RM5 per day.

A new exhibitor that I spotted is Easturia Vacation Club, who came all the way from Kuching, Sarawak. The staff have just completed their presentation and ran out of brochures when I arrived but checking their website, from what I understood, this is a vacation where we pay a lump sum of $$ annually and then travel at a discounted rate during the year our membership is valid.
