Art in Transit is the largest public art programme by the Singapore government to celebrate local talent.

With a budget of SGD5.9 million, the first project was the North East Line (purple), where we can now find art in all stations along this line.

Following its success, the pogramme expanded to the Circle Line (yellow) but artworks are currently only available at selected stations.

In this post are Art in Transit found at the Circle Line (CCL) stations of Esplanade, Promenade, Stadium, Dakota and Paya Lebar.

All of these works were inspired by the area they are situated in. To know if a certain piece is included in the programme, there is usually a plaque on the wall nearby, which states the name of the art, artist(s) and a description.

Compared to Art in Transit on the North East Line (NEL), these at Circle Line are easier to find, although just like those at the NEL, some require us to tap out of the barrier.
