The delegates under the Kembara Cuti-Cuti 1Malaysia media familiarisation trip were given a warm welcome at the official dinner hosted at ibis Styles Hotel in Ipoh.
Entertainment throughout the evening was provided by artistes from The Royal Malaysian Navy, who came to Ipoh all the way from their naval base in Lumut, Perak.
The trip to Perak was to enable these delegates to familiarise themselves with various tourism products, either new or updated, which they could then disseminate to their respective readers or audience.
This third series to Discover Perak was organised by Gaya Travel Magazine in collaboration with Tourism Perak and Tourism Malaysia Perak.
On this particular 4D/3N excursion, delegates had the opportunity to check out Ipoh’s wall mural scene during their brief overnight stop at ibis Styles Hotel.

They also had the chance to experience for themselves the natural limestone wonder of Gua Tempurung prior to their arrival at Ipoh City. The following morning, the delegation left for Pangkor, where they spent a significant amount of time there to explore the pristine tropical island plus the lifestyle and traditional livelihood of its islanders.
These delegates also stopped at Taiping where they went on a Night Safari at Taiping Zoo and then witnessed the soft launch of Taiping Heritage Trail and tried out the new electric shuttle bus, before leaving for Kuala Lumpur where they dispersed. Till we meet again next!
