Information is scarce about Tasik Puteri in Dungun. It was an iron ore mining pond and so, it is very near the Bukit Besi Iron Ore Mine (previous post). This man-made pond can also be considered as an artefact from the old mining glory.
Spanning 131 hectares, I assume that this mining pond is very deep although in some areas, it looks deceptively shallow.
The pond, or lake as it is referred to, is now part of the recreational ground in this scenic area, just by the border of Tasik Puteri Golf Club.
Apart from its breathtaking view, I am not aware of any other activities that one could indulge in here. For further information, check this official link.
