Muzium Lebah Sedunia Melaka
I don’t like bees but since this World’s Bees Museum is just adjacent to the Malacca Butterfly Park & Reptile Sanctuary, I decided to give it a visit. Although this is said to be the world’s museum on bees, it is not very large.

As a bee museum, different species of bees are preserved and exhibited. Obviously, if not for the labels, I wouldn’t be able to tell apart one species from another.

Even after my visit to the museum, I still wasn’t able to find that love for bees. Their buzz could be quite scary to me!

Oh yes, the main objective here is not really to learn about bees per se, as there’s no one here to take a visitor around and explain the exhibits. It’s more an avenue to sell honey products, and there are quite a few choices. One could even try out the many different honey drinks too.

Next to this bee museum is another section, where bees are bred and honey produced, if not mistaken. I was not allowed to go near it as I could get a bee sting. Well, I wouldn’t be surprised that bees realise who are not their friends. LOL

Verdict: Worth visiting only if you like bees, are curious about how honey is produced, or looking to purchase honey products.
