Despite an overcast sky which eventually brought rain, the mood at Subang SkyPark Airport remained upbeat as invited guests, comprising travel agents, media representatives and those from the aviation industry, waited for the unveiling of the new Firefly aircraft livery featuring Selangor’s main tourist attractions.

The aircraft, which came in from Singapore, brought a group of travel agents and media members, led by General Manager of Tourism Selangor Sdn Bhd (TSSB), Puan Noorul Ashikin Bt. Mohd Din. It was met at the Subang SkyPark Airport by Firefly CEO Ignatius Ong and guest-of-honour YB Elizabeth Wong, Chairman Standing Committee of Tourism, Green Technology, Consumer Affairs & Environment Of Selangor.
3. the many icons of Selangor are promoted through Firefly
The Singaporean guests were joined by fellow industry colleagues from Malaysia to participate in a 4D/3N familiarisation trip to Kuala Selangor, a consecutive initiative by the Selangor tourism body to promote the state through tourism packages in the areas of homestay attractions, local culture, ecotourism, and theme parks, just to name a few product scopes.

This #DiscoverSelangor familiarisation trip is in conjunction with the ASEAN Tourism Conference (ATF) at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, which will conclude later today.
5. Firefly CEO Ignatius Ong gives a speech
Before the tour was flagged off, guests witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Firefly and Tourism Selangor, sealing the collaboration of the brand new campaign to further boost tourist arrivals to the state, both domestic and international, especially from ASEAN countries in 2017 and beyond.
