How could one not be delighted when there is so much food in front of him, right? Yes, even replica food!

I was made to understand that its owner has invested RM2.5 million and three years to prepare the exhibits for this museum.

Currently, it has more than 500 food items on display. Luckily for the proprietor, his concept of gigantic dishes in this world’s first food wonderland has been well received by the public.

Wonderfood Museum has received much attention when it opened its doors to the public about 1.5 years ago, and today, it has maintained its position as one of George Town’s top attractions.

Looking through the many photos that have been posted on social media, I can see that since its opening, many of the dishes have remained the same.

During my visit, it was Chinese New Year and there was an enormous yusheng and huge mandarin oranges to welcome me.

Although there are opportunities to take interactive photos with the many local dishes, Wonderfood Museum Penang is more than a gallery for a collection of huge replica dishes.

This fun and creative food wonderland brings across powerful messages on the importance of food, food trends and eating habits through displays, as well as short notes encompassing its art-deco double-storey building.
