I have been to the Lost World of Tambun numerous times but I have never been to the night petting zoo yet, until recently. All these while, I was too busy enjoying the hot springs when I was there.
Some months ago, when I made plans to just go to the petting zoo and leave my swimwear at home, something or other kept cropping up and I had to postpone my trip.
BUT I finally made it last week! I spent about an hour in the petting zoo from 9pm until 10pm, when the zoo closes for the day.
It was almost pitch black in some parts of the zoo, while parts of the trail was lighted. Soft music were also being played in the background.
Calling this mighty ‘jungle’ home are raccoons, crocodiles, bearcats, pythons, tapirs, rabbits, hamsters, different bird species and many more.
Also part of the night park attraction within the petting zoo is the Tarantula Alley. Here is where you can get educated on the hairy arachnids.
As usual, under such lighting without the use of flash, my camera struggled to capture these nocturnal animals. Here are only what I have and they are not very good, either.
Nonetheless, I hope your interest will be piqued enough to get there and personally experience these Lost World of Tambun’s night park attractions. You would be surprised how things look different in the cover of night.
