It was a surprise to see some nicely done wall art in Kuala Kangsar, the Royal Town of Perak, when I visited a while back.
Due to its strategic location in the centre of town, near the clock tower roundabout, I don’t think any visitor could miss the attraction.
Look further down the block of buildings depicting the elephant and you will come across a mural of food stalls selling popular local delicacies.
While going around the town, I also came across other murals on the back of some small shops. One stretch of the wall has been dedicated to childhood games that invoke wonderful, carefree days of long gone.
These were all the wall paintings that I discovered in Kuala Kangsar. If there are more, I did not come across them.
Searching for wall murals is a pastime that I like to indulge in. It is an activity that can be participated by the whole family, young and old.
In the process, one sees more of the town than he or she normally would.
