Did you know that Canton-i is the sister restaurant of Dragon-i? I am unsure which chain is more popular but personally, Dragon-i is more accessible to me because they have an outlet at AEON Ipoh Station 18, which makes it more convenient for me to dine in.
So, you can imagine my delight when I had the opportunity to dine at Canton-i during one of my trips to Resorts World Genting.
Of the many cuisines that I enjoy, I have to say that my favourite is Cantonese. Being Cantonese myself, I certainly appreciate an authentic Cantonese meal now and again and Canton-i was where I found a gem!
This dinner that I had began simple – with just congee (or porridge), followed by scallop wanton noodles in soup. The serving was indeed generous.
I just have to mention that the prawns used in the wanton were huge and fresh! I am actually very particular about freshness of seafood and I have no complaints here!
The highlight of my dinner was the platter of luxurious traditional roasted goose combined with honey-glazed BBQ pork. The roasted goose was exceptionally lip-smacking and would remind one of Hong Kong, not that I have been there before, but you get my drift.
