This unique boutique hotel sports a Balinese decor, with all fittings imported from Jepara, Central Java, Indonesia.
The owner, Johar Arif, who owns JA Residence Hotel in Johor Bahru town centre, and whose initials now form part of the name of this establishment, had initially planned to construct this large villa for his own family.
But while building was in progress, many curious passers-by stopped to enquire, hence the decision to turn Villa Warisan J.A into a unique wedding venue, with accommodation and catering provided, if required by the bridal couple.
Already in its second year of business, the villa has witnessed the weddings of many couples, including foreign guests, all of which were done according to traditional Malay customs.
There are a total of 8 suites, consisting of a King bed, attached bathroom and patio. Besides the suites, three chalets are also available, two of which connect to one another, while the third is a standalone chalet.
Villa Warisan J.A is also open to hold other events besides weddings, and the maximum sitting capacity for dinner events is 350 pax. The food served is, unsurprisingly, Johorean specials, catered from the kitchen of JA Residence Hotel.
Interestingly, all the fittings that furnish Villa Warisan J.A are for sale, and the company runs a showroom in Tampoi, Johor. The management currently does not charge visitors who just want to check out the villa, or for photo shoots.
