Ribbon King Museum (緞帶王觀光工廠) is actually adjacent to BRAND’S® Health Museum in Changhua Coastal Industrial Park, Lukang. Established in 1988, this is a one-of-a-kind museum, the first ribbon museum in Asia.
Similar to BRAND’S® Health Museum and a handful of factories in this area, Ribbon King Museum is open to the public for an educational tour and organises workshops that allow visitors to get hands-on-experiences with their products, in this case, it is ribbons. Activities here include ribbon weaving using machines, as well as learning various ribbon-tying techniques.
Ribbon King Museum (緞帶王觀光工廠) houses a collection of fifty thousand types of ribbons, thirty thousand patterns of printed ribbon, twenty thousand patterns of woven ribbon, as well as a hundred types of ribbon yarns.
You must be wondering how there can be this volume of ribbons. Well, I was informed that in a year, Ribbon King produces an average of 4,000 designs! My, that’s a lot of brain juice to expend. Luckily, there is BRAND’S® next door!
Ribbon King Museum is a Lukang attraction that I would highly recommend for people who are into arts and craft. Simply put, this is ribbon haven! There are also DIY workshops to participate in.
