A visit to Huskiss in PJ (Kelana Jaya) is pure indulgence, because for a fee of RM25, what you get in return is just 1.5 hours of doggie time with a group of dogs; 6 Siberian Huskies and 2 Alaskan Malamutes.

When booking my time slot, the staff ensured I understood that what I would get from the entrance fee is merely playtime. I agreed.

You see, my visit to Huskiss PJ was a curiosity that I needed to satisfy. I had wanted to visit them since they first established in 2017 as a Husky themed café, but due to one reason or another, I was just unable to drop in until the other day, on transit to Kuching for Rainforest World Music Festival 2019, yay!
rest time
There are eight resident canines, some may be “on leave” at certain times. Although each time slot is 90 minutes, the dogs are not introduced all at the same time. Which means, the staff may begin the session with three dogs, with more allowed into the play area 15 minutes later, as an example.
play time
Did I have a good time? Yes, but it did not last up to 90 minutes although I am a dog lover. It was difficult to bond with these dogs, after all, we were strangers. Perhaps, there were too many of them all at once, or maybe they could detect dog scent on me, from my own dog.
low battery
One couple who shared my time slot also left earlier than scheduled, together with us. Felt bored, maybe?

Anyway, before we left, the staff took a group photo of us with the dogs. It’s like those souvenir photos that you purchase at theme parks or skyrides, except that this one didn’t cost extra, because they used our camera.

As mentioned, reservations are highly encouraged and recommended as spaces are limited. The following are the time slots:
Weekdays: 1pm, 3pm & 7pm
Weekends & Public Holidays: 12pm, 1.30pm, 3pm, 6.30pm & 8pm
Closed on Tuesdays
