1. Phi Phi Islands
Known as Thailand’s island-superstar, the Phi Phi Islands are famous for their imposing scenery and starring role in the film, The Beach (2000). People come from all over the world to enjoy Ko Phi Phi Le, the beach made famous by Hollywood and whilst it really is all it’s cracked up to be, there are many other places on the Islands worth visiting.

If it is amazing photos you are after, then the viewpoints on Koh Phi Phi are the places to visit! There are three main viewpoints at different altitudes and locations around the Island, and whichever one you choose will give you incredible views over the sandbar beach connecting the two rock formations which comprise Phi Phi Island.
The viewpoints can only be reached via a hike, so ensure you are up for a good climb, as it gets pretty steep!
2. Koh Nang Yuan
This is the only place in the world where three islands are connected by one sandbar, so make sure your phone is charged and get ready to snap some pictures.
Although Koh Nang Yuan is awesome, it is also at great environmental risk from tourists, thus be sure to follow local rules and don’t use a beach towel or bring plastic water bottles.

3. Koh Poda (island)
This small desert island in the middle of the Indian Ocean boasts white sands, palm trees and crystalline waters. Koh Poda is a classic ‘desert island’ where the only difference between this and one in a film is that you can leave whenever you want to – although you might just want to stay forever!
This circular island is only 1km in diameter meaning that you can easily walk from end to end, enjoying the scenery and many activities on offer. With snorkelling, diving and a coral reef to explore, you won’t run out of things to do for a long time!
4. Bangkok Airplane Graveyard
This doesn’t sound like the type of place that makes a great tourist attraction, let alone somewhere you could take Insta-worthy photos, but you may be surprised.
The Bangkok Airplane Graveyard is basically a junkyard for old aeroplanes, but it’s also a great opportunity to get up close and personal with Boeing 747s and other abandoned planes. Eerie and desolate: this is definitely an Insta-worthy spot for any person who wants to be a bit different.

5. Railay Beach
Accessible only by boat, this is a good choice for vacationers looking for somewhere which is quieter to indulge in some sunbathing and swimming.
Railay Beach is also world-renowned as a rock climbing holiday destination and regularly hosts rock climbing events for professionals. If you have never climbed a rock before, then this is the perfect place to begin, particularly as there are several climbing schools in the area.
Of course, when you reach the top of your ascent (there are over 60 routes to choose from), you will have unparalleled views over the entire peninsula between Krabi and Ao Nang. So, don’t forget your camera!
