It’s always easier to get into the spirit of Christmas at Resorts World Genting (RWG). While the Resort offers plenty to see and do this Christmas, the dining experience is another area to explore and indulge.
CHRISTMAS PASTRIES
The Bakery will roll out its seasonal treats beginning 1st December 2019, with a delectable array of Christmas goodies at both Bakery located at Genting Grand and The Junction Café located at First World Hotel.
All through December, Christmas treats such as reindeer Christmas cookies, Christmas trees stollen, traditional fruit cakes and chocolate Christmas lollies shaped like Christmas trees, Santa and the nutcracker prince, individually bagged gingerbread boy and girl, mini Christmas décor in cellophane bags, mini assorted Christmas chocolate squares, chocolate Neopolitans in pretty drawer boxes, pralines in Christmas gift boxes, and Santas in sports cars and sleighs will be delighting visitors. CHRISTMAS HI-TEA, BUFFETS & SIT DOWN DINNERS
Park Avenue Lounge
Park Avenue Lounge will be running a Christmas Hi-Tea promotion from 16 December 2019 to 2 January 2020.
The decadent treat – available from 12 noon to 7pm – will feature pecan tart, English fruit cake, spiced cheesecake, chocolate pralines, and freshly baked scones with strawberry preserves and clotted cream, egg with cornichons, truffle oil, micro greens, and cucumber and parmesan mayo fingers to choose from. A choice of coffee, tea or chocolate comes with the Hi Tea.
For a Christmas eve or Christmas dinner with a festive view, consider Park Avenue Lounge’s six-course Western dinner of pastrami salmon, poached pear salad, butternut squash soup, black cherry roasted chicken, truffle scalloped potatoes, haricot verts Lyonnaise, and panettone pudding.
Diners may choose pairing with a bottle of Hermanos Lurton, or option with a bottle of Drappier Carte D’or champagne.
Tower Of London by Burger & Lobster
Should there be a desire to start the Christmas eve celebrations early in the day, Burger & Lobster is offering the Tower of London package for four to six people from 11am to 12am. The Tower of London consists of one signature Burger & Lobster burger, one Original burger, two Original lobsters (either steamed or grilled), a chilli roll, original lobster roll, two sundae ice-creams, and one bottle of Moet Chandon designed to satisfy and delight all at once. The Tower of London promotion will also be available on Christmas day.
Coffee Terrace
If buffet is your preference the place to be on Christmas eve would be Coffee Terrace. The nearly 760 seater restaurant is planning a lavish spread with seafood on ice, comprising prawns, flower crabs, green lipped mussels, salmon, tuna and crabstick and salad counter heaving with choice greens. At the carving station, indulge in whole turkey and stuffing, beef Wellington, roasted stuffed lamb shoulder, and a stunning Western selection which includes charbroiled beef and lamb shoulder slices. Other options include mushroom pie, deep-fried fish with cream mayo sauce, and a variety of pasta. There are also the Asian, Malaysian, Chinese and Japanese counters for further indulgence.
Always luxurious, the buffet’s dessert section will feature a decadent array of Christmas sweeties like a yule log, Christmas cake, fruit cake, pudding and cookies. The buffet will be priced at RM96 nett for adults and RM48 nett for children and will run from 5pm to 9.30pm. Same buffet spread is also available for Christmas Day dinner.
On Christmas day, the buffet lunch will start from 12 noon to 2.30pm priced at RM52 nett and RM26 nett for adults and children respectively with a conservative section of Christmas dishes.
L’TITUDE
L’TITUDE Restaurant located in the Genting Club, is offering six-course Western set Christmas eve and Christmas day dinner.
The set is priced at RM288 nett per person that includes a scallop and bacon appetizer, Cioppino seafood stew, smoked duck, sous vide turkey, and a dessert of coffee espuma, vanilla ice cream and sponge cake.
If set is your preference, there are options of Chinese, Western and Japanese to choose from.
At the Awana
Just 10 minutes from the resort, the Awana Genting, Flavours Cafe will offer a three-course Western set Christmas eve dinner comprising of Norwegian salmon roll, crab tartare and mango salad, baby lobster thermidor, and warm Christmas pudding and vanilla ice cream. The set will also be offered for Christmas day dinner.
Bigger groups, or those with a festive appetite can consider the Rajawali coffee house’s Christmas Eve buffet dinner, which will run from 6pm to 9.30pm. The buffet line will offer a salad bar with crisp seasonal vegetables, cold cuts, tureens of pipping pumpkin and seafood soup, chicken lasagna, oxtail stew, chicken arabiata, sautéed potatoes with onions and beef, and a carvery featuring roast turkey, leg of lamb and striploin. A live pasta station will dish out favourite pasta dishes like carbonara, marinara and aglio olio.
Warm sweetcorn porridge is the featured traditional dessert, while the dessert counter will be spread with chocolate brownies, American cheesecake, assorted puddings, brûlée, jellies, French pastries, scones, and bread and butter pudding. The Christmas Eve buffet is priced at RM74 nett for adults and RM37 nett for children.
Buffet lunch at Rajawali on Christmas day will be priced at RM53 nett and RM26.50 for adults and children respectively.
The lunch buffet begins at 12 noon and ends at 2.30pm, giving diners ample time to relish the salad bar and cold cuts, American clam chowder, baked macaroni, beef stew, grilled chicken, fish and chips, and a carving station turkey.
