Despite carrying the “Best Western” brand that we have all known to love and respect, the only thing I like about BEST WESTERN i-City Shah Alam is its location within i-City Shah Alam. It’s not an easy place to get into but those who do take the trouble would be bedazzled by the lights and attractions.
About the hotel itself, it lacks a swimming pool. Not that I know how to swim or have any use of a pool but it is a benchmark for hotels of a certain standard.
Service-wise, it is also not up to standard and I am not the only one who is saying so. However, the building itself is clean and new, which makes up for the shabby service.
There are a total of 214 rooms. I think my twin room on the 18th floor (the highest level) is the smallest room: Superior at 19 sq. m. only. It provides a beautiful view, though.
Anyway, the rooms are inexpensive – from an average of RM140 only per night. I understand that breakfast is not included and it is a separate charge.
