The new KIP Hotel in Kuala Lumpur is a hip 3-star hotel with 199 rooms. It is owned by the same corporate group as KIP Mart, a leading chain of hypermarts established in Johor.
The soft launch of the hotel was in mid-October, with the opening of 90 rooms and three out of five Food & Beverage outlets.
The grand opening is scheduled for 17th November, 2015 and by then, all rooms and F&B outlets will be ready.
Room categories are:
Deluxe Twin ( 2 X Single beds)
Deluxe Queen (1 X Queen bed)
Executive Deluxe (2 X Queen beds)
Deluxe Suite
Executive Suite
Its infinity pool is popular among guests as it overlooks Batu Caves. Too bad it is only open from 8am to 8pm, although its fitness room is open 24 hours a day.
Having spent a night at the hotel recently, to me, it is a hotel that should require your own transport to go around conveniently. Nearby attractions (by car) are Taman Metropolitan, Batu Caves, PWTC and Rawang Templer Park.
It is also the gateway to Genting Highlands which is 30 to 40 minutes drive away.
The way I look at it, this hotel is a good base for those who have “business” at Hospital Selayang or Batu Caves during Thaipusam and Deepavali.

Oh my! I really love the interior design. It doesn't look like normal hotel would be. It looks like it has the cheerful touch in it. And the infinity pool! *dying to go*
