When in Kajang, it is a must to feast on satay, as many skewers as we could. One of the more popular stalls that we went to for dinner one evening was Willy Satay, at Ramal Food Junction (food court) in Taman Ramal Indah.
I have no idea why Willy Satay became the satay stall of choice – I was told their popularity only boomed a few years ago.
Throughout that evening, their tens of grills were working non-stop and still, the queue for food was exceptionally long.
I was lucky not to have to wait that long as we already made advanced booking for beef and chicken satay. The other two types of satay available here are lamb and innards.
I noticed that unlike the usual satay, Willy Satay don’t have too much fat pierced between the chunks of meat, which is how I like my satay served.
Furthermore, the peanut sauce was awesome and the satay that was grilled to perfection could be savoured as they were without additional sauce.
While Willy Satay is highly recommended, if you plan to try them out, do bear in mind that you have to spare at least 30 minutes of waiting time.
