To escape from the heat of the lowlands, I found myself spending a night at Colmar Tropicale, the French-themed resort on Berjaya Hills – or Bukit Tinggi in Pahang.
The resort is set amidst eighty acres of tropical rainforest, 2,700 feet above sea level.
Fashioned after Alsace in the northeast of France, one is transported back to an era steeped in culture and romance.
The resort grounds are not too large but the buildings are very close to one another, making it quite bewildering for a first timer.
I believe that one would better enjoy the resort and its facilities if one were to stay here for at least three nights.
During my stay here, I was rather disappointed that the weather was not as cold as I had imagined. Blame it on El Nino!
Nonetheless, I really loved the feeling of being in a township that didn’t look like the Malaysia I am familiar with. I just needed the temperature to match!
By the way, since this is a property of Berjaya Group, guests can opt for the shuttle service from Kuala Lumpur to Colmar Tropicale. The pick up and drop off point in Kuala Lumpur is at Berjaya Times Square. For fares, check this LINK.
I highly recommend a holiday here at Colmar Tropicale for its beautiful French theme and also if you want to get away from the tropical heat! Check your room rates HERE!
