The first time I had the otak-otak and sata at this Che Wan Stall in Chukai, Kemaman was when I participated in the Malaysia Tourism Hunt last year, and we had a food challenge here.
I am not an expert in otak-otak or sata. Well, according to my friends, the otak-otak here may be smaller, but a lot more delicious than those sold in Johor or Melaka. The two states are also well-known for these snacks.
Besides otak-otak and sata, we also managed to try other popular items on the menu like pulut panggang, pais, keropok lekor and a dessert with a very strong taste of coconut milk that goes by the strange name of ‘lompat tikam’. Direct translation in English is ‘jump stab’.
While I know not how to describe their tastes, let me just show you photos of them. Visiting Terengganu? These are the local must-eat food.
