Another milestone was marked by Ipoh’s The Haven Resort Hotel & Residences last Friday with the winning of Asia Pacific CSR Award in Excellence in Hotel Management 2016. The awards event was jointly organised by Asia Pacific CSR Council and JCI Achiever.
The Asia Pacific CSR Council and JCI Achiever, in support of The United Nations Global Compact, presented the 5th Asia Pacific CSR Forum. The objective of the conference was to discuss matters of importance on social responsibility in business, good governance, sustainability in business and how all these contribute to a better world in line with the United Nations Global Compact Goals and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Along with the forum was the awards event to recognise and honour corporations that have executed highly successful and impactful CSR activities within or outside their boundaries. The forum and awards event were supported by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
Guest-of-honour was Her Royal Highness Tengku Muhaini Bt. Sultan Ahmad Shah, Princess of Pahang. The event was also attended by Y.B. Dato’ P. Kamalanathan, Deputy Education Minister.
This award has certainly sealed The Haven’s position as the top eco-resort in Malaysia; winning worldwide recognition for its property, dining, wedding venue, and now for its excellent hotel management.
