What does all work and no play make Jack and Jill? Dull, of course! And so, at a recent trip to explore Kuala Lumpur’s attractions, our host, Tourism Malaysia Kuala Lumpur, organised a laser battle tournament!
Laser Battle, which is located in Berjaya Times Square, is said to offer Southeast Asia’s most advanced laser tag game, through simulated warfare with real phaser guns.
I have know about Laser Battle for a long time as they have an outlet in Ipoh Parade as well, but it is not easy to look for kakis to form two teams. No doubt, solo plays are available but that wouldn’t be as exciting.
And so, this mini tournament was a great opportunity for me to play a round or two. It definitely beat playing paintball where bruises last for weeks. Let’s not forget the pain! Laser tag, on the other hand, brings no pain, only fun and excitement. It is so safe that even four year olds are allowed into the battle zone.
At Laser Battle, there are over forty different game modes, from solo as mentioned, to team, capture the flag, midnight madness, friend or foe and zone domination, just to name a few.
While the battle is on, those waiting outside for their turn are able to see how the game progresses from the live scores and screen at the lobby area. This gives the teams outside an idea how strong their opponents are!
By the way, Laser Battle is a great venue to host special events such as birthday parties, team-building, or simply just to release some stress. Check the official website of Laser Battle for the different packages and pricing that are available at any of their four locations.
