As you know, I visited Pulau Ketam in Selangor twice within two weeks in May. There I was, never set foot on Pulau Ketam before and suddenly, I had the opportunity to go twice.

Pulau Ketam, as you already know, if you have been reading my articles, is very accessible. For me, I hop on the ETS from Ipoh to KL Sentral, then switch to the Komuter heading to Port Klang.

Disembark at Port Klang Station then walk across the road to the Port Klang Jetty to take a ferry to Pulau Ketam. Of course, the fares are not cheap but it could be done for under RM100, return trip.

Unfortunately, Pulau Ketam is not an attractive island. It is drab and filthy during low tide. When the water rises, it looks nicer and cleaner but in your mind, you know for a fact how it is and that sight cannot be erased.

It may be boring to some people as well, without nightlife as the shops close way too early and the only form of entertainment is your neighbour’s karaoke system. When I was there, I also discovered that the dating spot is by the jetty, at night when boat services have stopped for the day.

Nevertheless, this quaint little island offers plenty of photo opportunity, as I have mentioned in my post: Top 7 Things To Do In Pulau Ketam. Check out my link to read about the other six things to do in Pulau Ketam.

Sharing with you today are photographs that I took during my second visit. I explored another section of the island during my first trip.

After spending three nights on Pulau Ketam, I personally think that this island is best lived on if you don’t do anything but just put your legs up and watch the tide come in. Ah, what a way to enjoy life! If you have visited before, what’s your personal opinion?

Never heard of this place before. Thanks to you. What I like about a post something like this is that I get to widen my knowledge of different places. Hope to visit it someday.
