Since going viral on social media some months ago, Restoran Kari Kambing 40 Hari has been filled with patrons yearning for its delicious Nasi Arab with curry mutton.

2. busy at the counter

Strategically located along the North-South Expressway (NSE) near the Ayer Hitam exit in Yong Peng, it is especially popular among bikers who would come from as far north as Kuala Lumpur and as far south as Singapore, just for lunch. As you can see from my photo, the shop was seriously packed when I was there one afternoon. Apparently, this is the norm.

3. fully-packed eatery

Though named “restaurant”, it is actually an eatery with a modest menu that includes Nasi Arab with chicken, roti canai and curry chicken. Among these savoury dishes, Nasi Arab with curry mutton is the star. The aroma of the mutton was really enticing.

4. the chicken rice is cooked

Served in a large platter for three to four pax, it is priced at RM48. This set includes a jug of syrup good for about five glasses. Are you tempted to give it a try already? Do you love your mutton to taste really strong or moderate?
