3D art, or trick art, is all the rage these days; it has even infected the village of Sekinchan.
The attraction, also known as SKC 3D Art Gallery is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays as well as school holidays.
Having been to many other similar art galleries, I think SKC doesn’t have much to shout about in terms of art, but go to the rooftop and get an amazing panoramic view of the paddy fields down below.
It would be best to visit around the months of June and December, when the paddy crops are just about ready to be harvested.
However, there are many photo opportunities both at the 3D Gallery and more so on the rooftop. The one hour that I spent at the gallery was definitely insufficient, despite being a jaded visitor of trick art galleries.
So, if photography is your cup of tea, make sure to plan your trip to Sekinchan on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, or public and school holidays. Otherwise, you would figuratively “touch door nail” (arrived on closed days)!
