I first got to know about this resort from a friend who spent a romantic getaway here recently. What a coincidence that barely a month later, I got to experience the resort myself.

Philea, one of the top resorts in Melaka, reminds me of The Taaras in Redang Island, Terengganu. Both are located in secluded forested areas, with a backdrop of rolling green hills, providing privacy for guests.

The resort has a very old-school, rustic feel, with pine log cabins as guest rooms. There are three types of guest rooms: the Pavilion Room, Philea Suite and Royal Villa.
